Music at St Augustine's

Music plays an imprtant part in our life at St Augustine's.

The choir

 

The choir meets to practice on Sunday mornings at 10.15am. Everyone is welcome to help lead our singing. Enthusiam is more important than being able to read music.

 

Remember you have the voice of a trainee angel!

Our organ

 

Our T. C Lewis organ was built in 1875, and was enlarged to a three manual in 1893. It was installed in St Augustine’s in 1996.  Its tone has been likened to the Lewis masterpiece in Southwark Cathedral.

We try to hold regular musical events to raise money and share the joy of music in our community.
